/əˈfɪnəti ˈdaɪəˌgræm/

A method of grouping large amounts of ideas and data when brainstorming.

The process involves writing all ideas on cards or notes, sorting related ideas until all are exhausted. Relationships between ideas are then mapped. It is effective to use in a group setting with project planners as well as stakeholders. This is an important method in large projects with many aspects, as well as being used to design large websites.
