Application Data Management is Master Data Management on a smaller scale It focuses on many of the smaller, quickly evolving details. The specific information necessary for each application in a company may be very different. For example, data specific to the supply chain system might be irrelevant to billing and vice versa. However, some applications may need the same data as other applications, such as a shipping company’s phone call log. Application Data Management would ensure that all applications used by the business have identical and correct shared information.
