Definition

A button in a browser or a web page that will direct the website to the previous page.

Often represented as a left pointing arrow, back navigation is used widely on the internet and is intuitive for users. Back navigation can also be performed by hyperlinks in a web page that display navigation breadcrumbs or buttons displaying the words "Previous Page".
