Pronunciation

An attribute applied and managed at a terminal category, as opposed to a global attribute or inherited attribute.

Category-specific attributes are assigned only at terminal nodes and do not apply to any other categories in the hierarchy. If the same category-specific attribute is applicable for all sibling nodes, an inherited attribute should be used if it is supported by the Product Information Management (PIM) system.
