A location for housing the data of an organization that is physically separate from the organization and accessed via the internet.

Modern organizations increasingly utilize a cloud computing solution because it allows them to not have to maintain the hardware and software that stores its data. It also allows members of the organization to access the data remotely if they have access to the internet and proper permissions.
