Definition

Tools used to limit access to users within the PIM system.

As multiple users fill in product data, the data access control feature within the PIM system can prevent the users from working on the same data simultaneously. Access to the data may also be limited to an entire department, i.e. the procurement department can be denied for editing product information for which they are not responsible.
