A process to find records referring to the same entity across data sources, often used to generate the Master Data.

Data Matching identifies entries containing data for the same item. Specific attribute values, or identifiers, are compared to determine a match. For example, records from Database A and Database B may be matched based on SKU. When combined with Data Merging, Data Matching produces records for the Golden Record.
