Data Revision
v.
Pronunciation
/ˈdeɪtə riˈvɪʒən/
Definition
The process of updating or adding information to a master data management (MDM) system.
To maintain an up-to-date system with accurate information, data revision is essential. Systems require revision control to ensure that updated product information is confirmed before being published. For example, an MDM solution may require all revisions be done in a main workspace of draft data before approval, at which point the data is moved to an approved workspace ready for publishing.
