The support of a system capable of supervising, storing, organizing, and retrieving digital assets.

Most PIM systems are capable of supporting DAM processes by being able to store product-related media. DAM systems are more commonly accessed by the marketing department to store marketing-related media, such as logos and catalogs, but can also serve several business departments with useful content.
