Definition

The processes through which data systems share or provide data to individuals, organizations and systems.

Processes to distribute data include an individual accessing an interface to manually curate and export a data set from a system to a file format like XML or CSV, a system aggregating and sending an auto-generated data set to recipients via, email and an external system invoking a web service to request data. Distribution of data can be sent ad hoc or recurring according to a configured schedule.
