Definition

A measure of how quickly users can find a product or piece of information contained in a website, either by through navigation or search.

Findability is key to eCommerce. A user must locate a product in order to purchase it. Delays in discovering a product reduce sales. Increasing findability is a focus of hierarchy and schema design.
