Information that exists in an organizations current PIM system prior to the start of a project as the result of previous work.
Legacy Data is the product information that is going to be cleansed, re-organized, and integrated into the target system. Legacy Data can be mined for useful attribute values. Changes in a system's hardware or software, however, can cause Legacy Data to be misleading, incomplete, or irrelevant.
