Mega Categories

n.

Pronunciation

/ˈmɛgə ˈkætəˌgɔriz/

Definition

Terminal Categories containing high sku counts which are not granular.

Mega Categories contain many products with significant variation within them. For example, a large [Lollipop] category may not be considered a Mega Category, but a similarly sized [Candy] category that includes truffles, gummy bears, candy bars, and lollipops would be. Such a category relies on attributes to help sort products within itself.
