Personally Identifiable Information

Data which can reveal an individual’s identity, either directly or indirectly in combination with other information.
Direct Personal Identifiable Information includes name, address, email address, phone number, and passport number. An example of Indirect Personal Identifiable Information would be a combination of workplace and job title or maiden name alongside date and place of birth. Also known as PII, it is referred to simply as personal information in Europe.
