Acronym
Definition
The ordering of attributes within their lists on a website or within the schema.
Attributes usually appear on the left side of a web page and are used to help potential customers navigate and filter items. Attributes that are most important to the buying decision should be closer to the top to make the list intuitive for the customer. When sequencing one can judge which attributes are most important to customers based on competitors' sequencing decisions. Attribute values are also sequenced, and could be labeled alphabetically or could be listed in order of frequency, where the values used by the most items are displayed first. Regardless of whether an attribute is local or global, it is usually able to be sequenced at the category level.
