Treejack

n.

Pronunciation

/treejack/

Definition

An online survey application testing the intuitiveness of data hierarchy navigation.

Treejack surveys can be sent to large numbers of users to test how to navigate through different potential data hierarchies. The users click through a series of navigational categories to find a specific grouping of data, in PIM applications it would be a product group. The survey owners can then view the survey results to determine which hierarchies were easier for the users to navigate. This information can be leveraged to improve existing hierarchies.
