1. The range of different skus that a business manufactures and offers for sale. A Product Information Management (PIM) system will be influenced by the breadth and depth of this assortment, with different strategies for managing different spreads and groups of products.
2. Multiple similar products sold together to help with a variety of applications, not to be confused with a kit. An item which consists of differently sized nails all sold together is a product assortment whereas a nail, hammer, hooks, and a level sold together for the purpose of hanging picture frames is a kit.
